J. Bruce Ricciuti

President

For the past 30 years, J. Bruce Ricciuti has served as a real estate advisor to a wide variety of private and public clients throughout the United States. Bruce serves as President and Treasurer of Birch|REA LLC. He is also the Managing Member of Birch Capital LLC (www.birchcapital.com), a private real estate investment company firm.

In Bruce’s consulting experience, he has conducted: 1) acquisition, disposition, financing and investment due diligence for all types of properties, 2) detailed market and feasibility studies, 3) highest and best use and most profitable use analyses, 4) land planning and development strategies, 5) financial analyses of real estate portfolios, 6) market surveys of commercial and industrial space, 7) regional market studies, and 8) valuation studies. His experience encompasses a range of property types including retail, office, industrial, hotel, residential, historic rehabilitation and major mixed use developments.

Bruce’s area of concentration is single and credit tenant lease (CTL) advisory and financial services including sale-leaseback transactions. He has also served many clients in both public real estate securitizations and private debt placements. Over the past five years, Mr. Ricciuti has advised clients pertaining to transactions with more than $10 billion worth of real estate involving more than 2,000 properties containing approximately 50 million square feet. These properties were located in more than 100 markets across the United States including most major markets and numerous smaller markets.

Prior to forming Birch|REA, Bruce was a founding member serving as Vice President/Principal of Bonz/REA, Inc. from 1997 to 2003. Bonz/REA represented a merger between Bonz & Company, Inc. and REA Partners, Inc., both Boston based real estate advisory firms serving a national clientele. Mr. Ricciuti founded REA Partners in 1990. Previously, Mr. Ricciuti held various positions at two Boston based full service real estate firms.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from Babson College (1986), with a dual major in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance. Bruce is a member of the Board of Regents for The Mercersburg Academy (1983), serving on the Executive Committee as Finance Chair. He serves on several charitable organizations including the Swim Across America program for cancer research, Make a Splash, a national child-focused water safety initiative created by the USA Swimming Foundation that works by aligning the nation’s top learn-to-swim resources in an effort to save lives, and South Florida Special Olympics.
